COURSE DESCRIPTION
If you are passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed in their learning journey, the CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support is an excellent pathway into the education sector.
This qualification is designed for individuals seeking employment as a Teacher’s Aide, Education Support Officer, Learning Support Assistant or School Support Worker in primary and secondary school settings. Teacher’s Aides play an important role in supporting students, assisting teachers and contributing to a positive learning environment both inside and outside the classroom.
Throughout the course, students will develop the practical skills and knowledge required to support student learning, manage classroom activities, assist students with diverse learning needs, promote positive behaviour and contribute to student wellbeing and development.

DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
Training is delivered face-to-face at Western Sydney Skills Hub, North Parramatta by qualified and experienced trainers.

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
Students are responsible for arranging a volunteer or paid placement in a school or education setting to complete workplace-based practical tasks and assessment requirements.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification. However, students should have:
- Basic language, literacy and numeracy skills
- Basic computer skills
- Access to a computer for completing assessments and learning activities
